Reinforcement & Strengthening

Reinforcing or strengthening describes the process of upgrading the structural system of a building in order to improve its performance under existing loads or to increase the strength to carry additional loads. Stabilization may be required for any number of reasons including soil erosion, moisture, poorly designed modifications, substandard quality of materials or craftsmanship, as well as deterioration due to aging or neglect. Any of these factors can threaten stability. Of course, there is no single solution that offers a straightforward method for every project.

And while much of the mainstream construction community’s expertise is centered on new construction, SSRG focuses on extending the lifespan of existing structures. So whether your structure suffers from one, or any combination of issues mentioned,  SSRG will provide the proper materials, ingenuity, and skill to handle everything.

Success Stories

"St. Paul’s German Evangelical Church was abandoned by the congregation in the late 1970’s, leaving a ghostly ruin. Emergency stabilization was carried out in the 1980’s to give the building a short-term reprieve. In 2012, the roof collapsed. We were then contracted to stabilize the building."
