Cranes in front of UC Eden Avenue BridgeLocation: Cincinnati, OH
Construction Schedule:  4 months
Type of Project: Upgrades and Modifications / Moisture Control
Customer: University of Cincinnati

Located on the bustling campus of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, the Eden Avenue bridge was in need of repairs. The project posed some logistic challenges because the bridge crosses an active road, so road closure options were limited through the duration of the project. The repairs were completed in four sections, so as to have minimal impact on students, faculty, and patients.

The project included repairs to the flashing on the bridge deck, to improve moisture control. In total, 150 pieces of glass were removed so that 240 LF of new, stainless steel flashing could be installed. The glass was then re-installed, and the bridge received a full fresh coat of paint.

Despite the complicated job site, SSRG completed the project right on schedule and to the Owner’s complete satisfaction.
