SSRG Director of Safety, Kim Hoffa, SMS, SGE, was invited to speak at the 17th annual Ohio Valley Associated Builders and Contractors (OVABC) Safety Day. Held on Wednesday, January 15 at Sinclair Community College, Safety Day “is designed for those interested in current information, best practices, and methods of reducing or eliminating work place injuries and illnesses.” SSRG received an Award of Excellence from OVABC in 2019. Kim led a session about employee training and on-boarding and the vital role it plays in building a safety-first culture. Kim leads new hire safety orientation for all new hires for the HGC Group of Companies, of which SSRG is a member. Every employee, including office personnel, are required to attend the full day of safety training, thus ensuring that everyone understands that safety is more than a priority, it is a fundamental value.
