The SSRG team is building a new CubeSmart Self Storage facility in Eastgate, OH. The job uses tilt-up concrete construction, and we captured some sweet footage of the highly detailed and coordinated work going into this CubeSmart tilt-up project. Learn more about SSRG’s experience in new construction. In tilt-up construction, a structure’s walls are poured directly at the job site. The large slabs of concrete are called “tilt–up panels” or “tiltwall panels”. These panels are then raised into position around the building’s perimeter, forming the exterior walls. CubeSmart’s project involves 79 panels. Each panel is 40′ tall by 12′ wide, and weighs about 25 tons! That’s a tough job, done well.
