The precast concrete bridge had been deteriorating for some time and the owner wanted to extend its lifespan. The SSRG crew took on the job, which was 350 SF of overhead concrete repair.

The team repaired the bottom of the bridge, and then strengthened with fiber reinforced plastic (FRP). FRP is a a carbon fiber, high-strength, and lightweight reinforcement

Overall, the team used (8) 2’ by 60’ rolls of FRP, installed on underside of bridge. The bridge top was also resealed and painted.
