SSRG would not be the company it is today without its incredible staff. Each month we highlight one member from our team with a Q&A session. This month, get to know our Director of Safety, Kim Hoffa. Kim has been part of HGC Group of Companies for nearly ten years, and was promoted to SSRG Director of Safety in spring of 2019. Her passion for safety and the industry shows in everything she does, and keeps SSRG at the cutting edge of the field. What is your personal philosophy? Do my best work every single day. What is your favorite aspect of working at SSRG? The diversity of work. It challenges me to contribute my knowledge, experience, and skills to our teams. What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this? If I were not doing safety I would be doing project management. Tell us something that might surprise us about you. I was once an EMT and a volunteer firefighter. Fill in the blank: I once met… A variety of people during my time at the Reds—from players to announcers to members of other organizations. Check out just one of SSRG’s projects at Great American Ball Park. What advice would you give to a new hire or young professional in this industry? Keep an open mind—there are more ways to see things other than black and white. If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Hire a Lawyer! Before working with SSRG, what was the most unusual or interesting job you had? Construction and Facility Services Manager at Great American Ballpark. This is where I was initially introduced to the HGC Group of Companies, in 2009. What would be the title of your autobiography? So You Think You Know Me. Want to work with great people like Kim?
